The Mares of TriColby

When we look for a mare to add to our stud, first and foremost, they must have a great temperament. From there we look for correct conformation, quality and type. I like a nice solid mare with good legs and a beautiful head. I want a horse suitable for all disciplines - dressage, hacking, pony club, jumping, harness and anything else asked of them, and that's what we aim to breed.

Sire: Iceman (Imp)
Dam: Buckley Babe (Imp)

12.3hh purebred Gypsy Cob

JJ is a lovely little bay/white mare. JJ is by Iceman (IMP) believed to be of John Pratt's Paddy Horse lines and out of Buckley Babe, a Lion King grandaughter. JJ is well suited with Tiny Tim and produces gorgeous foals. JJ has also given us a filly from Clononeen Bellagio who also has her mothers courageous and inquisitive nature and a colt and a filly from Tim. JJ is willing to give anything a go and rarely balks at a task. She is a very special mare and a great addition to our stud.

Sire: Raintree Ranger
Dam: Southern Gypsies Rowan

Est 13.1hh approx, Purebred Gypsy Cob.

Penny, as she's known, has the most amazing quiet and trainable temperament. She makes friends where ever she goes. Penny has some incredible bloodlines behind her with the beautiful Clononeen Double Tumble and Jango Dancer of Brackenhill as her Grandsires. Penny has produced a couple of beautiful foals for TriColby and carries one copy of the H2 gene (small) which might be why her foals to date have been quite small. She will go well with Ants and Ace!

Surrey Springs Squeak
Sire: Surrey Springs Armani
Dam: Kesali (Imp)

Est 12.1-12.2hh approx, Purebred Gypsy Cob

When I went looking for a smaller mare to add to my breeding herd, I wanted a good shoulder, good legs and a deep bodied mare. That was the beginning of my shopping list. After viewing a selection of beautiful cobs around Australia I decided on Squeak as a yearling, I am so happy with my choice. She is put together really well, I can't fault her conformation and for the heavier breeding she will definitely bring some body to my breeding program, particularly with Ace and Ants.

Squeak has been successfully shown in hand and is a great asset to our stud.

TriColby Cara Mia
Sire: Windenvale Tiny Tim
Dam: Gcdu Julie Joe Rosebud

Est 12.1-12.2hh approx, Purebred Gypsy Cob.

Mia is my first filly by Windenvale Tiny Tim and to say I was overjoyed was an understatement. Cara Mia means 'My beloved' and Mia sure is that. She has been successfully shown in hand and is very cool and calm about it all, and I'm eagerly looking forward to what she might produce with our stallions in the future.

Jo Bray Kiss'n'Tell
Sire: The Galway Boy (Imp Ireland)
Dam: Smiths Merrylegs

Est 12.1h approx, Purebred Gypsy Cob.

With my dream of breeding smaller sized cobs, I was eager to gain some smaller bloodlines. When Ellie became available, I jumped at the chance to gain a filly by The Galway Boy, a lovely small stallion imported from Ireland. Ellie incorporates the lines of Eathel Lee breeding, Mini Mouse, Billy Boy, Hugo Boss with Lion King, Clononeen Tumbleweed and Clononeen 007.

Ellie should be very well suited to Ants and Ace and produce some lovely small foals. Ellie carries one copy of the H2 (small) gene.

TriColby Bedazzle
Sire: Marindy Ace of Spaces
Dam: Gcdu Julie Joe Rosebud

Est 12-12.1hh approx, Purebred Gypsy Cob.

Dee Dee is our first foal by Marindy Ace of Spades and she is a cracker. I couldn't have hoped for a better filly and she looks to be smaller than her dam, she will have a copy of H2 (small) from her sire. Dee Dee is planned to go with Ants in the future.

Looking forward to a bright future with this beautiful filly.
