                                                               The Gypsy Cob

The Romany people have known for decades the worth of their superb horses and now the rest of the world is privileged to become a part of these wonderful animals lives.

With an ever growing population of purebred Gypsy Cobs now in Australia I have fulfilled my dream to breed my own Gypsy Cobs. Starting back in 2010, my first partbred foal, TriColby Aliyana, was born to Allie Mae and the imported pure-bred stallion, Wimballan Harker’s Geordie. I went on to breed three more partbred foals from Geordie, TriColby Griffin, TriColby Tudor Rose and TriColby Little Bandit. I loved his foals so much I bred a purebred colt from Geordie 10 years later, TriColby Rising Sun. Geordie’s foals were the sweetest tempered, most people loving horses I’d ever come across and are typical of the gypsy cobs I aimed to breed. They merely tempted me further.

It was then I bought my first purebred Gypsy Cob. By Windenvale Caval Ridge and out of Teddies Mare, my future stud colt, Windenvale Tiny Tim arrived. He captured my heart from the moment he was born filled me with joy each and every day. The sweetest nature, the desire to please, the willingness to work and the pleasure he displayed to be in our company. Tim has now been gelded however the impact on our stud will always be felt.

I starting realising my dream as my first few purebred foals hit the ground and they are everything I aimed for and more. I am now focusing on smaller purebreds suitable for ridden and harness going into the future and with the importation of The Ants Pants from Ireland, this will further bring our dreams closer with him standing at only 11.3hh and homozygous for the small gene!  His foals to date have exceptional temperaments and are beautifully put together. I have been very proud to call all the stallions we've had over the years my own and they all made their own mark on our stud.

The dream became reality!
